Government Polytechnic College Reasi today celebrated International Women's Day with great enthusiasm and spirit in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department. The programme was organised under the guidance of Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal, Govt. Polytechnic Reasi and Sh. Sachin Sharma, District Social Welfare Officer Reasi to highlight the importance of women empowerment, gender equality, and the vital role of women in nation-building. On this occasion, various competitions were organized to encourage creativity and expression among students. In the Rangoli Competition, Arti Devi, Preeti Sharma, Nazia Akhter, and Bandu showcased their artistic talents through beautiful and meaningful designs. In the Speech Competition, Nazia Akhter, Shallu Devi, and Abza Akhter confidently expressed their views on women empowerment and the significance of the day. The Painting Competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from Aryan, Anil, Jatin, and Nazia, who creatively presented inspiring themes related to women's strength and achievements. The staff from the Social Welfare Department distributed prizes to the winners and appreciated the efforts of all participants. Faculty members Er Himanshu Bakshi, Er Vandana Sharma, Er Sunil Kumar, Ms Nisha and a large number of students actively participated in the celebration, making the event successful and memorable. The programme concluded with a message of unity, equality, and continued efforts toward empowering women in every sphere of life.
